TOWARDS MORE HUMAN AND SUSTAINABLE INTERIORS: THE MAJOR DESIGN TRENDS OF 2025
Less technology, more simplicity: when design reconnects with its emotional dimension.
Our interiors are no longer just practical spaces they’ve become refuges. After the era of gadgets and cold aesthetics, we’re returning to homes that feel more human, warm, and full of life.
Smooth circulation, open spaces, and above all, natural light have become essential. A home designed to breathe, open up, and encourage connection is a home that truly cares for those who live in it.
Although technology can make everyday tasks easier, when it takes over our space, it erases what truly matters: warmth and human connection. Too much connectivity can end up disconnecting us from the natural simplicity we long for.
This design philosophy respects each space, while subtly influencing our mood, our relationships and the quality of the moments shared.
This kitchen perfectly embodies this philosophy, as every element invites sharing. The island and table can be moved according to needs, alternately creating a dining corner, a play area, or an impromptu music stage. Inspired by the client’s summer camp memories, the space exudes warmth and conviviality, transforming into a place of treats and shared laughter.
To stay true to this philosophy, the solution lies in teamwork between the designer, who stages the living space, and the client, who brings their story to life through objects and memories.
In 2025, the “home sanctuary” emerges as the major trend, placing the artisan at the heart of tomorrow’s interiors. The return to handmade craftsmanship is expressed through subtle woodworking details, thoughtfully integrated into the design to enrich the sensory experience and give each space a unique soul. Because choosing artisanal details in the design of a kitchen or any other room in the home means:
support authentic know-how,
invest in objects that stand the test of time,
give each space a unique identity.
This craftsmanship aligns with the quest for durability and emotional sensitivity that is redefining interior design.
The uniqueness of this project lies in its approach: to create a real nest of tranquility in the heart of an open space with tall ceilings. For noise-sensitive customers, this need has become essential. The wooden ceiling then envelops the kitchen, bringing unity and warmth, like a protective cocoon where you feel instantly soothed.
In 2025, the house is reinventing itself as a place of balance between aesthetics, comfort and memory. Conviviality, natural light and handcrafted details become the pillars of this new art of living.
At Cuisines Steam, we believe that the success of a project is born from this alliance:
the expertise of the designer, who stages the project,
the sensitivity of the client, who tells his story,
and the selection of noble, durable materials and objects that evoke emotion.
This is how we create interiors that are not only beautiful to look at, but above all, beautiful to live in.
At the heart of this kitchen, the central table rests delicately on a granite base, like a rock anchored in the space. The idea of bringing the strength of the outdoor rocks inside immediately appealed to the client, who wanted to pay tribute to the surrounding nature. A true centerpiece, it became the creative starting point for the entire project.
" The art of enhancing your kitchen lies in these little touches that make all the difference and that, together, transform your daily life. »
