Starting a project with Cuisines Steam begins with a visit to our showroom. It's the perfect opportunity to discover our approach to kitchen design and learn more about our company philosophy.

PROCESS & PLANNING

STEP 1

PRELIMINARY MEETING

(FREE)

Present your project to us and take the opportunity to meet one of our designers in our showroom. Here you can discover our custom-made kitchens, explore our extensive materials library, and immerse yourself in the world of our quality materials. This meeting will be the perfect opportunity to better understand our design and manufacturing process, and to deepen your knowledge of our unique know-how that combines innovation, aesthetics and functionality.

    1. Preliminary Plan

      We will need to know the constraints of the space in order to make you a proposal for a layout. You can bring an architect/designer plan or a handmade plan. Above all, don't worry about your drawing skills! Click on the link to view a sample plan.

    2. Inspirational photos

      If you've already done some research on what you like (or don't like), we'd love to see your inspirational photos. For a little inspiration, check out our inspiration boards on Pinterest. 

      3. Photos of the space

      It is often very relevant to show us your current kitchen or other elements of your home in more detail. We will have a better idea of the general style of the house, the brightness, etc. You can also bring a short video if you prefer. 

  • Your budget is a working tool for us. We want to design a kitchen that takes into account your needs and tastes, but also your budgetary reality. It is important for us to know the budget specifically allocated to kitchen furniture. Countertops can be included in this budget. (Exclude budget items including faucets, tubs, backsplash tiles, flooring, renovation work, appliances, etc.)

STEP 2

CONSULTATION WITH A STEAM DESIGNER

  • Being recognized for our exceptional designs and as specialists in ergonomics, we offer you the best of our ideas by thinking about all the little details of your future kitchen. Our goal is to offer you a concept that will take you elsewhere by getting off the beaten track.

  • We will present you with a complete file with perspective views, a plan and elevations to explain our reflection and planning of your space. A submission of the proposed concept will be given to you. Once the bid is accepted and the contract signed, we can give you the file and continue working on your project to refine the concept. 

  • A fee of $850 will be allocated to this process which will be credited when you purchase your kitchen. Please note that the plans remain the property of Steam Kitchens until the contract is signed.

STEP 3

BUYING A STEAM KITCHEN

  • You will have the complete file presented during the consultation with a Steam Kitchens designer. Your project becomes our project! Steam Kitchens goes on-site to take space measurements and prepare detailed production plans. These plans will have all the details for the preparation of the site by your contractor, plumber and electrician. At your request, we can also make a proposal for a lighting plan. The Steam team will support you in your project until the installation. Even after delivery, we will still be on duty for any additions, repairs or maintenance.

  • Buying a Steam kitchen means benefiting from the know-how of our entire team of designers, cabinetmakers and installers. You are investing in exceptional design, a great quality product and a service that has made our reputation!

  • Cuisines Steam Warranty 5-Year Furniture Warranty Cuisines Steam warrants to the original purchaser that the furniture delivered and installed will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of delivery. Normal wear and tear should not be considered a manufacturing defect. Cuisines Steam undertakes to repair or replace a product in the event of a manufacturing defect insofar as the product has been used in the course of normal use. After checking and evaluating the product, Cuisines Steam reserves the right to decide whether to replace or repair the product in question. This guarantee is effective from the last payment of the contract. IN THE EVENT OF A PAYMENT DEFAULT, CUISINES STEAM RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE THE SIGNED AGREEMENT AND NOT TO HONOUR THE WARRANTY OF ITS PRODUCT AND SERVICE. JULIUS BLUM Canada (BLUM) warrants its branded hinges and/or drawer slides that have been installed on our product, against any defective materials and workmanship for as long as said product remains the property of its original purchaser or consumer. This warranty is only a replacement warranty. BLUM does not warrant the removal of defective hardware or the installation of replacements. Steam Kitchens will remove and install hinge and/or slide replacements for a period of five (5) years from the date of delivery. After this date, the customer will be responsible for labour costs for the removal and installation of the products and travel costs if applicable. This warranty does not cover hinges or slides that have been subjected to loads in excess of those prescribed or that have been used or misused for purposes other than those for which they were intended. 5-Year Warranty on BLUM Canada Servo-Drive System JULIUS BLUM Canada (BLUM) warrants the function of the Servo-drive components for a period of 60 months, when used in accordance with the regulations. Steam Kitchens ensures the removal and installation of replacements of defective components for a period of five (5) years from the date of delivery.
